Ramblings and ruminations on chess in SE Wisconsin, the USA and the World

USCF Politics

The new USCF ballots are mailed, and we received ours a little while ago. USCF still can’t figure out how to count. (WI gets two delegates, yet the ballot says ‘vote for four.’)

The Executive Board also lists its candidates, such as they are. Your choice is your choice, and I urge you to make one. For myself, Randy Hough tops the list. It’d be a Good Idea to have an active (57 tournaments since Jan 2005) player on the board. Beyond that I’m afraid I’m hard pressed to find someone who attracts me. This is not to say the rest repel me, they just don’t interest me.

Which could be a Good Thing. It may mean we’re coming to the end of a long series of disgusting candidates. In that context, Boring Is Good.
