Ironic trend in the spam comments…I’m starting to see lots of comments with phrases like “Too much spam” and “Delete all this spam.”
The irony is the comment itself is spam. Sorry guys, you’re still not getting through.

Shout out to the MUHS chess team. For a perfect 8-0 regular season, which includes beating the #2 team (by RPI)MSL and reigning city-champion (USM) with only four people.
Here is our potent lineup for city/state/nationals:

Way to go, guys! I knew you had it in you. Give everyone a pat on the back from me. The 250 points is close to the top the school has ever scored in this league (a few years ago we went 8-0 and scored 272 total points, IIRC) but that team fell apart at the city meet and dropped two matches there. The finish was low enough that, given the rules in place back then, MUHS was going to be dropped out of D1 for the next year, and only made it back into D1 during the preliminary coaches meeting because of a high average rating.
So you guys don’t take your eye off the ball at City and State, OK? This year you can take it all. But remember, win or lose I’m still proud of you and all you’ve accomplished.
If I can get away for it, I’ll stop in for a while at City and State. It’ll be mid-day on Saturday if I’m there at State, because I’m booked all day Sunday, but it might be in time for the final round at City, because the early portion of my day is booked, then.

We took a loss first round at city against Shorewood, which basically took us out of the running for first place. Oh well, we just have to look forward to State then.
Congratulations to Shorewood for beating us and MSL for taking first. We’ll see you at State.
Funny how this is under spam update >_>

Yeah, that was Jake’s idea.
Too bad about the Shorewood match; they’re always tougher in the playoffs than during the season. Usually they pick up a player or two after the season’s over, and that helps.
You still had a fine year, though, and it’s not over yet. Don’t relax at State.

BTW, I finally broke down and added another spam filter. It’s made my life a lot easier.
